• Subjects offered:
  • Math - Everything from counting up to 10 to Algebra & beginner statistics. If you want to ensure that your math level is covered, simply send an email with some examples of the work & Daffodil Tutoring will let you know whether the subject is covered at no cost to you.
  • Reading - Through high school level literature 
  • Writing/English - Through high school level. Paper proof-reading is also available within session time limits.
  • Science - case-by-case basis
  • Test prep (on a case-by-case basis)
  • Non-school subjects - Daffodil Tutoring is also happy to teach children mindfulness techniques, assist with art projects, and more!

Daffodil Tutoring is happy to offer the initial "getting to know you" session at only $12* to provide a low-risk investment for you and your child to see if we are a good fit. This applies for ONE session, and all subsequent sessions will follow typical pricing.

• Single session: $25* 
• Package of 5 sessions: $100* (must be paid in full up front)

*All sessions are subject to travel fee if they are in-person outside of Calhoun city limits. Please review policies for more details.

**If your family is experiencing financial hardship, Daffodil Tutoring is happy to adjust pricing to an extent on a case-by-case basis to encourage equity in education. If you require reduced pricing for any reason, please include "financial assistance" in the additional comments section of the booking form.

Session length:

• All sessions last 60 minutes unless otherwise specified
  • For younger children, the session may include a 5-10 minute game break either in the middle or end of the session. Games expand on learning material and help retain focus.

Travel/location policy:

• Sessions that take place within Calhoun city limits or online do not incur travel fee
• Sessions outside of Calhoun city limits include $0.20 fee per mile distance. To calculate, use the Calhoun Public Library for reference (100 N Park Ave, Calhoun, GA).
  • Ex: If you chose to meet at the Cartersville Public Library, which is 30.7 miles from the Calhoun Public Library, a single session would cost an additional ($0.20 x 30), which would equate to $6, leaving your total cost for a single session at $25+6, or $31 per session. 
  • If you book a package, the travel fee is added PER SESSION. Therefore, for a 5-session package using the example above, the total cost would be $100+30, or $130 total.

• Sessions can take place online via Zoom, within client's home, or at a pre-approved public location (e.g. library)

Payment policy:

• Payments must be made at the time of the session. 
• Sessions & packages are non-refundable. 
• Payments can be accepted via Zelle, Venmo, or with cash.

Cancellation/Rescheduling policy:

• Sessions must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Sessions cancelled within 24 hours may be charged 50% of the session fee. 
• If you need to reschedule or cancel a session, please notify Daffodil Tutoring as soon as possible.

Privacy & interaction policies:

• Students may have their phone on them during session, but it must be on silent and kept away to limit distractions. Similarly, all technology including headphones should be put away unless agreed upon in advance. (Technological accommodations for disabilities are allowed with parent approval).
• After the initial "getting to know you" session, please provide a space for the session that is free of distractions and interactions. Limiting distractions during session is crucial to build student confidence as well as trust between the student and tutor. 
• Privacy policy: Daffodil Tutoring, LLC will not share any names, photos, or personally identifiable information about you, your child, or your family. The only exception to this rule is if the tutor has reason to suspect any abuse or neglect in the home, in which case the tutor is required to report this information to authorities.
